Badges

Note: PLEASE READ EVERYTHING HERE BEFORE MESSAGING ME AND ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT MY BADGES. ALL MY RULES AND INFO ARE STATED IN EACH DESCRlPTION OF THE BADGE STICKERS IN MY CATALOG.

Please remember badgers are human too! They're not robots that sit at their computer all day granting badges as soon as you buy them!

Question:What does "donation" or "pre-sale" mean when buying badges?
Answer: Badging is extremely expensive so to help badges get made, every badge goes through a donation phase.
Usually in the name of the badge product it'll say "DN" or "Don" to show the badge is in donation. You should also read the descriptions of any badge stickers before you buy, it can sometimes tell you if the badge is made or in donation.
When a badge is in donation people donate to it by purchasing the badge to help get it made. Once the badge has reached it's donation goal then it's in "Pre-sale" phase and will be posted when the next badge sale happens or when credit pendings come through.

Question: What is a badge sale?
Answer: When a badger refers to a "badge sale" it's a sale that happens usually once every month or sometimes twice a month where the cost of creating badges is cut in half. This is the cheapest time to create badges and badgers take advantage of it, so when you hear someone say "the badge will be made next sale" they're referring to the badge sale.

Question: How much does it cost to make a badge?
Answer: For regular IMVU members (without VIP) it is 100k (100,000) credits per tile. On a Badge sale for normal IMVU members, the price cuts to 50% off making it 50k (50,000) credits per tile.

VIP IMVU members get a 5% off perk, making the price 90k (90,000) credits per tile. On a badge sale the price cuts for us as well to 50% plus and additional 5%, making the price 45k (45,000) credits per tile.

Question: What is a "tile" or "badge tile"?
Answer: They are both the same. A tile is a 20x20 square to measure how big the badge is. Tiles are what badges consist of.

Question:What are "Pendings"?
Answer: If you're not a creator this is a question I usually get a lot. How creator sales on IMVU work is IMVU puts your sales in a pending system that lasts for 2 weeks. If you've bought one of my badges today, those credits you used to pay for that badge will be in pending and I won't receive it till 2 weeks later.

Question:What and where is a "Description" for a badge.
Answer: The description can be found under the sticker details when you click the sticker. It will look like this (click here) I highly suggest viewing this on the classic version of the imvu website.

Question:When will I receive the badge after I purchase it?
Answer: Before asking ANY badger this question please look at the sticker title and description, make sure the badge isn't in donation or pre-sale phase before asking. Badgers can't grant a badge to you that isn't made yet so please be patient! Donation / Pre-sale badges are badges that haven't been made yet. It can take MONTHS to gather the donations to make a badge.

After you've checked that, also read the description to find out the wait time it takes for a badge to be granted. Badgers are human, they're not on their computer 24/7 ready to grant out badges as soon as you buy them. In the description it can state that badges will be granted between 24 to 48 hours. However, in some instances, it'll say to message them as soon as you purchase it. Just be sure to read the description thoroughly!

Lastly, if you've read the descriptions, you see the badge IS made and it's been over the time limit it says in the description they'll grant with still no badge, then that's the correct time to message them! Sometimes purchases can get lost in the logs and it's a common mistake badgers sometimes make. Just message them politely, tell them which badge you paid for and how long ago it was purchased. Please do NOT message a badger rudely demanding the badge, that's a good way for badgers not ever wanting to do business with you! If you have any other questions that haven't been stated here, please ask! If I reply with telling you to read this page, then you did not fully read it!
